Account Director – Trade Shows & Events – Pharmaceutical/Healthcare

We are seeking an experienced Account Director with a strong background in trade shows and experiential marketing, specifically working with pharmaceutical or healthcare accounts. The Account Director will be responsible for managing key client relationships, overseeing project execution, and driving business growth within this specialized market.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Relationship Management:

  • Serve as the primary contact for pharmaceutical and healthcare clients, developing and nurturing long-term relationships.
  • Understand client objectives, regulatory requirements, and market dynamics specific to the healthcare industry.
  • Provide strategic guidance and solutions to clients to enhance their trade show and experiential marketing initiatives.

Project Leadership:

  • Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of trade show and experiential marketing projects.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (creative, production, logistics) to ensure projects meet client expectations and industry standards.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring successful delivery on all fronts.
  • Strategic Planning & Business Development:
  • Identify new business opportunities within the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors.
  • Develop and implement account strategies that align with client goals and drive revenue growth.
  • Lead the preparation and presentation of proposals, pitches, and client reviews.
  • Industry Expertise:
  • Stay informed on industry trends, regulations, and innovations within the pharmaceutical and healthcare markets.
  • Advise clients on best practices for compliance, engagement, and brand impact in their trade show and experiential marketing efforts.
  • Team Leadership & Collaboration:
  • Mentor and guide account managers and other team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
  • Work closely with the creative and production teams to translate client needs into compelling and compliant experiential campaigns.

Qualifications:

Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in account management, with a focus on trade shows or experiential marketing.
  • Extensive experience managing accounts within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industries.
  • Proven track record of delivering successful marketing campaigns and building strong client relationships.

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of pharmaceutical and healthcare industry regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with strong attention to detail.
  • Strategic thinker with a results-oriented approach.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
  • Other Requirements:
  • Willingness to travel as needed for client meetings, trade shows, and industry events.
  • A deep understanding of the trade show and experiential marketing landscapes, particularly within regulated industries.
