Estimator – Flooring

The Flooring Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and detailed cost estimates for flooring projects. This includes on-site measurements, material selection guidance, and labor projections. The ideal candidate has deep flooring industry knowledge, strong attention to detail, and excellent client communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct on-site assessments and take accurate flooring measurements
• Recommend appropriate materials based on client preferences and site conditions
• Prepare detailed cost estimates including materials, labor, and prep work
• Participate in the bidding process for large-scale flooring projects
• Present estimates clearly to clients and handle questions or concerns
• Maintain strong client relationships throughout the estimating process
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure alignment on project scope and budget

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• 3-5 years prior estimating experience in the flooring industry is required
• Strong knowledge of flooring materials, installation methods, and site prep
• Proficient in measurement and estimating software
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to build rapport and help guide clients through the estimating process
• This is an office-based position – must be able to commute to the Columbus, OH area 5 days/week
