Self-Perform Operations Manager – Facilities Maintenance

The Self-Perform Operations Manager is responsible for leading a team of in-house, self-performing handyman technicians providing break/fix repair services across a national footprint. The ideal candidate has a strong background in managing multi-site operations in industries such as retail or restaurants, overseeing self-performing technicians, and delivering exceptional service across multiple states.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of self-performing technicians based nationwide, ensuring timely and high-quality execution of break/fix repair services.
  • Oversee operations spanning at least 10 states and $10M+ in annual service volume.
  • Collaborate with multi-site clients to understand needs, set expectations, and ensure satisfaction.
  • Monitor team performance, provide guidance, and implement strategies to optimize productivity and service quality.
  • Develop and enforce processes to meet operational, safety, and compliance standards.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to align operations with organizational goals and client requirements.
  • Analyze metrics and financial data to drive efficiency and achieve key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Recruit, train, and retain top talent for the technician team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or 7+ years in facilities management, overseeing self-performing teams.
  • Proven experience managing self-performing technicians and working with multi-site clients in industries such as retail or restaurants.
  • Demonstrated success managing $10M+ in annual volume and overseeing operations across multiple states (minimum 10 states).
  • Exceptional leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage complex projects.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of building relationships with both clients and internal teams.
  • Proficient in operational and financial analysis, with a focus on driving efficiency and results.
  • Based in Central Florida, with the ability to work full-time in an office setting.
