VP of Operations – Trade Shows/Events
The Vice President of Operations is a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for overseeing all aspects of operational execution. We’re seeking a strategic thinker with a passion for process improvement, team development, and operational excellence. This individual will provide direction and hands-on leadership to ensure efficiency, profitability, quality control, and client satisfaction across production, fabrication, logistics, warehouse, and I&D teams. Based in Orlando, this leader will drive continuous improvement and scalability while maintaining the flexibility and responsiveness clients expect in a custom-built environment.
Responsibilities:

Lead and manage all operational departments, including production, warehousing, logistics, installation & dismantle (I&D), and field operations

Develop and implement operational strategies that align with company goals and support business growth

Partner closely with executive leadership, sales, and client services to ensure seamless execution of projects

Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and cost control for all operational functions

Establish KPIs and performance metrics to monitor efficiency, quality, and timelines

Ensure compliance with safety standards, labor regulations, and industry best practices

Identify and implement process improvements to streamline workflow and reduce costs

Manage vendor relationships and negotiate key operational contracts

Mentor and develop a high-performing operations team, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence
Requirements:

10+ years of progressive leadership experience in trade shows, live events, or custom fabrication

Proven track record in operational oversight, team leadership, and process improvement

Deep knowledge of trade show logistics, show site protocols, and fabrication workflows

Strong financial acumen with experience managing large-scale budgets and operational P&L

Excellent communication, decision-making, and cross-functional leadership skills

Hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced, client-driven environment

Willingness to travel as needed to support major projects and national events
