VP of Operations – Trade Shows/Events

The Vice President of Operations is a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for overseeing all aspects of operational execution. We’re seeking a strategic thinker with a passion for process improvement, team development, and operational excellence. This individual will provide direction and hands-on leadership to ensure efficiency, profitability, quality control, and client satisfaction across production, fabrication, logistics, warehouse, and I&D teams. Based in Orlando, this leader will drive continuous improvement and scalability while maintaining the flexibility and responsiveness clients expect in a custom-built environment.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all operational departments, including production, warehousing, logistics, installation & dismantle (I&D), and field operations

  • Develop and implement operational strategies that align with company goals and support business growth

  • Partner closely with executive leadership, sales, and client services to ensure seamless execution of projects

  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and cost control for all operational functions

  • Establish KPIs and performance metrics to monitor efficiency, quality, and timelines

  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, labor regulations, and industry best practices

  • Identify and implement process improvements to streamline workflow and reduce costs

  • Manage vendor relationships and negotiate key operational contracts

  • Mentor and develop a high-performing operations team, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence


Requirements:

  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in trade shows, live events, or custom fabrication

  • Proven track record in operational oversight, team leadership, and process improvement

  • Deep knowledge of trade show logistics, show site protocols, and fabrication workflows

  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing large-scale budgets and operational P&L

  • Excellent communication, decision-making, and cross-functional leadership skills

  • Hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced, client-driven environment

  • Willingness to travel as needed to support major projects and national events
