Meet Your Recruiter: Q&A with Amanda🗣️🎤

What better way to learn about your Recruiter then a little Q&A!

Q: What sets MetroSeek apart in the recruiting industry?
A: At MetroSeek, we’re not just filling job openings—we’re building long-term partnerships. We take a highly specialized, relationship-first approach to recruiting. It’s never one-size-fits-all.

Q: What types of roles do you specialize in?
A: I specialize in mid- to executive-level roles across the visual communications and branded environments space—think trade shows, experiential marketing, branded interiors, POP displays, signage, print/graphics, and beyond. I’ve placed talent in sales, business development, account and project management, design, engineering, operations, and executive leadership positions.

Q: How do you find the right candidates?
A: It all starts with listening—really listening. I take the time to understand what makes a company tick: the culture, growth goals, team structure, and the real need behind the role. Then I go out and find talent that doesn’t just check boxes but feels like the missing puzzle piece. It’s about alignment, not just qualifications.

Q: What’s the biggest hiring challenge companies face today?
A: Honestly? The best candidates aren’t browsing job boards—they’re thriving in their current roles. The real challenge is reaching that passive talent and getting their attention. That’s where I come in.

Q: What do you love most about what you do?
A: Watching people grow. Whether it’s a company thriving after a key hire or a candidate stepping into a life-changing role, it’s incredibly fulfilling to be part of that journey. This work goes far beyond filling seats—it’s about making a real impact.

Q: How can companies work with you?
A: If you’re looking to hire someone who can really move the needle—or you’re struggling to fill a specialized role—reach out! I’m happy to have a conversation. You can email me at Amanda@MetroSeekCorp.com or call 732-851-7788 ext. 204.

Q&A with Amanda – Beyond Recruiting

Q: When you’re not helping companies find talent, how do you spend your time?
A: I’m all about adventure and connection. I love a good road trip, trying new restaurants, and spending time with my husband and my nieces and nephews. After work, you’ll usually find me at the gym, in the kitchen, or out riding my Harley. I’m always up for new experiences and try to make the most of every moment.

Q: What’s something people might be surprised to learn about you?
A: I have a phlebotomy certification and wanted to get in the medical field. I’ve always known I wanted to help people, and while my path shifted, I genuinely believe I landed exactly where I’m meant to be—still helping people, just in a different (but super fulfilling) way.

Q: What’s one accomplishment outside of work that you’re particularly proud of?
A: Renovating our entire house—just my husband and me, no contractors—while deciding to plan our wedding in three weeks and working full-time. It was exhausting, chaotic, and absolutely worth it!

Q: What’s your go-to way to unwind?
A: Wind therapy, and yes, it’s a real thing! There’s something about being on a motorcycle – whatever’s on your mind that day fades away, and you’re fully in the moment.

Q: Do you have a personal motto or philosophy you live by?
A: Two come to mind immediately:

  1. “Everything happens for a reason.” I truly believe that you will always end up where you are meant to be.
  2. One quote that stuck with me: “If you’re not happy with something in your life—your job, your relationship, your health—and you don’t do anything about it, you’re accepting it. Don’t accept it!” That mindset pushed me to take control of my health, and I lost 30 lbs in 2.5 months!

Q: Any guilty pleasures?
A: Oh, definitely. A spontaneous trip to the casino, Amazon packages that “magically” appear at my door, lazy Sundays binge-watching a good show, a good car jam session—and let’s not forget Cold Stone’s Oreo Birthday Cake ice cream. So good!

Q: What’s one piece of career advice you always share?
A: Don’t settle for comfortable. Real growth happens when you stretch beyond your comfort zone. The right role and the right team are out there. Whether you’re hiring or job hunting, trust your instincts—if something feels off, it probably is. Keep going until it feels right. You’ll know when you’ve found the fit.
