Meet Your Recruiter: Q&A with Amandaš£ļøš¤
What better way to learn about your Recruiter then a little Q&A!
Q: What sets MetroSeek apart in the recruiting industry?
A: At MetroSeek, weāre not just filling job openingsāweāre building long-term partnerships. We take a highly specialized, relationship-first approach to recruiting. Itās never one-size-fits-all.
Q: What types of roles do you specialize in?
A: I specialize in mid- to executive-level roles across the visual communications and branded environments spaceāthink trade shows, experiential marketing, branded interiors, POP displays, signage, print/graphics, and beyond. Iāve placed talent in sales, business development, account and project management, design, engineering, operations, and executive leadership positions.
Q: How do you find the right candidates?
A: It all starts with listeningāreally listening. I take the time to understand what makes a company tick: the culture, growth goals, team structure, and the real need behind the role. Then I go out and find talent that doesnāt just check boxes but feels like the missing puzzle piece. Itās about alignment, not just qualifications.
Q: Whatās the biggest hiring challenge companies face today?
A: Honestly? The best candidates arenāt browsing job boardsātheyāre thriving in their current roles. The real challenge is reaching that passive talent and getting their attention. Thatās where I come in.
Q: What do you love most about what you do?
A: Watching people grow. Whether itās a company thriving after a key hire or a candidate stepping into a life-changing role, itās incredibly fulfilling to be part of that journey. This work goes far beyond filling seatsāitās about making a real impact.
Q: How can companies work with you?
A: If youāre looking to hire someone who can really move the needleāor youāre struggling to fill a specialized roleāreach out! Iām happy to have a conversation. You can email me at Amanda@MetroSeekCorp.com or call 732-851-7788 ext. 204.
Q&A with Amanda ā Beyond Recruiting
Q: When youāre not helping companies find talent, how do you spend your time?
A: Spontaneous road trips, trying a new restaurant, or hanging with my pups; Chase (my Frenchton) and Milli (my Frenchie). After work, youāll usually find me at the gym, cooking, riding my Harley, or getting lost in a good book. Iām also a proud āaunt-momā to eight nieces and nephews (ages 4ā22), so family time is a big part of my world.
Q: Whatās something people might be surprised to learn about you?
A: I have a phlebotomy certification and wanted to get in the medical field. Iāve always known I wanted to help people, and while my path shifted, I genuinely believe I landed exactly where Iām meant to beāstill helping people, just in a different (but super fulfilling) way.
Q: Whatās one accomplishment outside of work that you’re particularly proud of?
A: Renovating our entire houseājust my husband and me, no contractorsāwhile deciding to plan our wedding in three weeks and working full-time. It was exhausting, chaotic, and absolutely worth it!
Q: Whatās your go-to way to unwind?
A: Wind therapy, and yes, it’s a real thing! Thereās something about being on a motorcycle – whateverās on your mind that day fades away, and you’re fully in the moment. If it’s a rainy day, you’ll find me cuddling my pups and reading my Kindle.
Q: Do you have a personal motto or philosophy you live by?
A: Two come to mind immediately:
- āEverything happens for a reason.ā I truly believe that you will always end up where you are meant to be.
- One quote that stuck with me: āIf youāre not happy with something in your lifeāyour job, your relationship, your healthāand you donāt do anything about it, youāre accepting it. Don’t accept it!ā
Q: Any guilty pleasures?
A: Oh, absolutely! Trips to the casino, mysterious Amazon packages that āmagicallyā appear at my door, lazy Sundays binge-watching a good show, full-on car concerts with my husband as my audience, and spoiling our pups like theyāre our kids.
Q: Whatās one piece of career advice you always share?
A: Donāt settle for comfortable. Real growth happens when you stretch beyond your comfort zone. The right role and the right team are out there. Whether you’re hiring or job hunting, trust your instinctsāif something feels off, it probably is. Keep going until it feels right. Youāll know when youāve found the fit.
