Director of Business Development – Facilities & Construction
We are seeking a results-driven Director of Business Development to drive revenue growth by identifying, qualifying, and closing new business opportunities within the Facility Management (FM) and Project Management (PM) sectors. This role focuses on high-value, multi-site commercial clients requiring maintenance, refreshes, and large-scale rollouts. The ideal candidate will have experience managing marketing strategies, overseeing staff, and representing the organization at industry events to expand market presence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and execute a business development pipeline targeting national accounts across FM and PM sectors (Retail, Healthcare, Banking, etc.).
- Develop integrated marketing and sales programs—including social media campaigns, case studies, and digital content—to showcase expertise in fixture installation and facility refreshes.
- Deliver high-impact presentations to C-suite executives and Facility Directors, emphasizing ROI, project efficiency, and compliance standards.
- Track industry trends, competitor pricing, and emerging service needs to inform service offerings and pricing strategy.
- Cultivate and expand long-term relationships with key accounts while identifying opportunities to cross-sell PM services to FM clients.
- Lead presence at major industry conferences, including booth strategy and post-event follow-up.
- Create and edit technical content such as case studies, white papers, and newsletters to position the organization as a thought leader.
- Collaborate with advertising partners and internal Project Managers to ensure marketing materials reflect field team capabilities.
- Guide website and social media initiatives to create a high-converting, mobile-friendly experience for prospective clients and vendors.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or Construction Management.
- 7+ years of B2B sales or business development experience within Facility Management or Construction Project Management.
- Deep understanding of retail operations, commercial maintenance, and multi-site facility rollouts.
- Proven success building and maintaining relationships with high-revenue national accounts.
- Exceptional presentation and negotiation skills; able to explain complex PM logistics to non-technical stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel up to 30% for client visits and industry events.
- Proficiency in CRM platforms and digital lead-generation tools.
