VP of Production Operations – Signage

The Vice President of Production Operations will lead manufacturing operations within a high-volume sign production environment in San Antonio, TX. This executive will have full responsibility for plant performance, overseeing production, quality, supply chain, inventory, shipping, and maintenance while driving operational excellence, continuous improvement, and scalable growth across the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead daily manufacturing operations across production, quality, inventory, supply chain, and shipping
  • Manage production schedules, workforce planning, and shop floor execution
  • Ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery standards are met
  • Drive Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Oversee equipment uptime, maintenance coordination, and production efficiency
  • Track KPIs and drive operational performance improvements
  • Partner with leadership on budgeting and production planning
  • Ensure effective use of ERP systems for scheduling and reporting
  • Lead, coach, and develop production teams to improve performance

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of manufacturing leadership experience, preferably within the sign industry
  • Proven experience leading production or plant operations with responsibility for a manufacturing operation generating at least $30 million in annual production volume
  • Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and quality systems (ISO/TQM)
  • Experience managing cross-functional manufacturing teams
  • ERP system and Microsoft Office proficiency (CorelDRAW/AutoCAD a plus)
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
