Sales Director – Trade Shows + Events

We are looking for a dynamic Sales Director who is ready to take ownership of sales strategy, drive new business, and lead a team to the next level. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on player-coach who enjoys balancing strategic leadership with active selling in the trade show, exhibit, and experiential marketing industry.

The ideal candidate is a strategic sales leader with a proven track record of driving revenue growth, building lasting client relationships, and leading by example. You’ll play a key role in shaping sales strategy, identifying new market opportunities, mentoring and developing the sales team, and collaborating across departments to deliver innovative solutions that exceed client expectations and drive profitable growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan focused on revenue growth and market expansion.
  • Lead, mentor, and coach the sales team while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and high performance.
  • Actively pursue and secure new business opportunities while growing existing client relationships.
  • Build, manage, and maintain a healthy sales pipeline with accurate forecasting.
  • Partner closely with Creative, Marketing, and Operations to develop customized solutions that align with client goals and support profitable project execution.
  • Monitor sales activity, CRM utilization, and key performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.
  • Identify market trends, industry opportunities, and competitive insights to strengthen business development efforts.
  • Lead by example as a hands-on sales professional who is equally comfortable closing business and developing talent.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of sales leadership experience with a proven history of driving revenue growth.
  • Demonstrated success in business development, prospecting, and securing new client relationships.
  • Experience leading, coaching, and developing successful sales teams.
  • Strong background in CRM management, pipeline development, forecasting, and sales analytics.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience within the trade show, exhibit, experiential marketing, event, or related industries is highly preferred.

Success in this role will be measured by the ability to consistently drive revenue growth, secure new business, increase gross profit, maintain a healthy and accurate sales pipeline, improve forecast accuracy, strengthen client retention, and develop a high-performing sales team that delivers measurable business results.
