VP of Client Services – Trade Shows

The VP of Client Services will report to the CEO and oversee all revenue activities of the division as well as cross-functional process improvements around the client services team and projects. The VP of Client Services will serve as a leader to the Client Services team, ensuring client satisfaction and timely project execution. The VP of Client Services will coach and develop team, interface with clients, address and solve issues, and work with internal departments to streamline communication.

Duties/Responsibilities:
• Oversee the day-to-day client service activity of the company to continually
improve our quality of service and overall client experience.
• Develop annual strategic plan and forecast for the revenue side of the business.
• Manage the account teams and support staff and determine staffing needs.
• Coach and develop account team members.
• Serve as a resource for and help problem-solve with account team members.
• Serve as a voice for the account teams as an active member of the management
team.
• Interface with clients as necessary to address and solve issues.
• Work with internal departments to streamline internal communication and
processes between the account teams and the rest of the company to improve
execution efficiency and accuracy.
• Become a member of the ERP implementation team; help define new processes
and champion the system within the account teams.
• Analyze and monitor project and client profitability and implement measures for
improvement.
• Interface with clients and prospects as needed as a strategic industry expert.
• Lead the RFP response strategy in conjunction with Sr. Account Managers for
new opportunities.
• Oversee new business development effort.
• Travel to occasional industry shows to understand current industry challenges.

Experience Required:

  • 15+ years’ experience in Account Management with an exhibit house
  • 8+ years’ experience in management overseeing a team of Account Managers and Project Managers
  • Strong leadership skills
  • A positive team player with outstanding client relationship-building skills
  • Ability to connect and engage with a variety of personalities from the client,
    vendors, and internal teams
  • Ability to communicate clearly (written and orally) with clients and staff.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to make tough decisions independently with initiative.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office (specifically Word, PowerPoint,
    Excel, and Outlook).
